Manzanita

Manzanita is an oceanside village tucked in between three distinctive landmarks: the vast Pacific Ocean, the large coastal headland at Neahkahnie Mountain, and the sheltered Nehalem Bay. One of three communities ringing Nehalem Bay, Manzanita offers both vacation homes and local residences, along with a farmers market, an annual Polar Bear Plunge and 4th of July celebration, and Muttzanita, an annual celebration of all things canine.

Short-Term Rentals
 
Short Term Rentals are allowed in the Manzanita, but permits need to be obtained through the City. The number of rentals does have a cap, and a waiting list is utilized if there is a short term rental vacancy. You can find more information on the City's website.
 
Climate
 
On average, Manzanita receives 95 inches of rain annually, and sees 135 days of sunshine. Temperatures typically range between 40 and 65 degrees and the best time to visit for outdoor activities is July through September.
