Summer's crowds thin out in September, but the coast doesn't slow down. If anything, this is when the events get more interesting. Here's your week-by-week guide so you don't miss any event this September 2026
The month opens with a free lecture on local history: on Tuesday, September 1 at 7 pm, Pacific Distillery hosts ”I Smell a Rat" Containing Contagion at Knappton Cove, part of a monthly series on local history and historic preservation. Heather Henry, granddaughter of the U.S. Columbia River Quarantine Station's original owners and co-founder of the Knappton Cove Heritage Center, will discuss the 1908 Quarantine Station Log Book and the public health measures that led to the Lazaretto building, the last surviving public isolation facility from that era. Nancy Anderson, the Heritage Center's founder, will be on hand for questions. Then the Liberty Theatre goes big for the weekend with Pink Martini All-Stars, playing Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6. Reserved seating runs $74 • $59 • $47
Kick off the month by giving back: The Treasure the Beach has been a monthly cleanup now in its 22nd year meets Saturday, September 5, 9 - 11 am. Register and pick up supplies in front of the Seaside Aquarium, 200 N. Prom, then stick around for the rest of the day to shop or grab a bite. Open Craft Night starts its weekly run on September 6, from 5 pm to 7 pm at 810 Broadway Street, Suite 202, and repeats every Saturday through the month (Sept 13, 20, and 27).
The Farmers Market season runs June 16 through September 8, so this month brings its final weeks. Beach Yoga, which has run every Saturday and Sunday since June 6, wraps up its season with two final sessions on September 5 and 6, 11:30am - 12:30pm.
Dunes Meadow Park hosts the second of two IN A LANDSCAPE concerts, September 4 - 5, from 5 - 6:30 pm. Pianist Hunter Noack performs on a 9-foot Steinway grand set up outdoors, with wireless headphones so you can wander the meadow while you listen.
The 7th Annual Dachsand takes over the beach September 11 - 13; full schedule on the Seaside events page. Right alongside it, The Return of the Saltmakers runs September 12 - 13 at the south end of the Prom at Avenue U.
The Liberty Gala takes place September 12 from 12 pm to 5 pm, 1203 Commercial Street.
The Cannon Beach Cottage Tour runs September 12, noon - 5 pm, starting at 1387 S. Spruce St. The next day, House of Orange hosts an Acrylics 101 Workshop, September 13, 10am - 1pm.
Oregon Sea Grant's Discover Oregon Seafood Dock Tour meets at the Warrenton Marina on September 11, a look at where local seafood comes from and how to buy it straight from coastal ports.
The Wheels and Waves Car Show rolls through downtown Seaside and along Highway 101, September 18 - 20. Online registration is open now if you want to bring a car.
Premier's Park Picnics happens September 18, noon - 2 pm, at Robinson Community Park. Bring lunch and a friend for yard games and community time. The event is open to everyone; you don't need to be using Premier support services to attend.
House of Orange wraps its workshop series with Dragonfly Magic, a painting class on September 26, 1pm - 4pm. Participants will use glazing techniques and iridescent paints to create a luminous dragonfly scene on acrylic; no painting experience required, and all materials are included.
The Liberty Theatre closes out the month with the Paragon Ragtime Orchestra, September 27 at 4 pm. And general admission is $30
