Treasure the Beach: Community Beach Cleanup

Short Circuit 40th Anniversary

Silver Screen & Hair Film Series: The Maltese Falcon

Preserving Your Family History with Meg Glazier-Anderson

Astoria Social Justice Book Club

A monthly gathering for readers who want their books to mean something. The Commodore's lobby is the right setting for a good conversation.
June 14 | 9:30 AM–5:00 PM | Columbia River Maritime Museum
A full day of programming at the Maritime Museum honoring Flag Day. The museum's collection makes this kind of celebration feel grounded in real history.
Paint and Sip with Dawning's Art

Guided painting, good wine, good company. No experience required.
June 13–17 | 5-Day Camp | Cannon Beach Community Church, 132 E. Washington St.
A week-long summer art camp for kids, right in the heart of Cannon Beach. A great option for families spending the week on the coast.

This is the week the North Oregon Coast really wakes up for summer. Block it off if you can.
Seaside Farmers Market: Opening Week
June 17 | 12:00 PM–6:00 PM | Sunset Recreation Center parking lot
The Seaside Farmers Market runs every week from June 17 through September 9. This is opening week. Fresh produce, local vendors, and the particular pleasure of buying food from the people who grew it. Make it a Tuesday ritual for the summer.
June 20–21 | Seaside Beach
A full weekend of beach soccer at its most chaotic and fun. Great to watch, even better to play.
June 20 | 10:30 AM–11:30 AM | Begins and ends at Downing Park
One hour, on foot, through Seaside's history. Perfect for new residents, repeat visitors who want to see the city differently, and anyone curious about what Seaside was before the promenade.
June 18 | 6:00 PM–8:30 PM | The Vineside Wine Bar, 100 39th St.
An evening of guided painting at one of Astoria's most welcoming wine bars. Book ahead, these fill up.
June 21 | 12:00 PM–8:00 PM | Various Astoria venues
Summer Solstice, and Astoria fills up with live music at venues across the city for Make Music Day. Free, wanderable, and a reminder of why this community is special. One of the best free days on the Astoria calendar.
June 20 | 11:00 AM | Cannon Beach Beach
The coast's most beloved tradition returns. Watch, or enter, as sculptors transform the beach into a gallery of breathtaking, fleeting sand art before the tides reclaim it all. This is one of the signature events on the entire Oregon Coast calendar, and it draws visitors from across the region every year. If you're going to be on the North Coast this month, make it June 20.
Cannon Beach Farmers Market: Opening Week

The Cannon Beach Farmers Market runs weekly through September 8. Opening week is always a good one.
"BUSKERS in the Park" Concerts: First Week
June 18 | 5:00 PM–6:30 PM | City Park Bandstand, off Spruce & 2nd St.
Live music in Cannon Beach's City Park every Wednesday through September 3. Free, outdoors, and exactly the kind of thing you move to the coast to be able to do on a weeknight. This is the first week of the summer series.
June 18 | 10:30 AM–12:30 PM | Cannon Beach Gallery
A special pop-up alongside the regular gallery programming. A good morning stop before heading to the beach.
Acrylic Painting Basics Workshop
June 21 | 10:00 AM–1:00 PM | House of Orange
Learn the fundamentals of acrylic painting on the morning of the Summer Solstice. A lovely way to mark the longest day.
June 22–30
June 26 | 5:00 PM–10:00 PM | Seaside Turnaround
Barbecue and beer at the Turnaround as the sun goes down over the Pacific. This is Seaside doing summer exactly right.
June 26 | 7:00 PM | Liberty Theatre
The acclaimed bluegrass outfit brings its signature sound to Astoria's Liberty Theatre. One of the coast's must-see shows this summer, book tickets ahead of time.
North Coast Comedy Night: Lynette Manning & Thor Aksdal
June 27 | 8:00 PM | Liberty Theatre
Back-to-back nights at the Liberty. Comedy this time, two performers, one great venue.

A maritime open house on the Columbia River waterfront. Kids and adults who love boats, history, and the river will enjoy this one.
Just for the Fun of It - Again!
